In support of Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) round table discussion on the Aspiration to Eradicate The Urban Poor, with the theme "Minimising The Impact, Breaking The Cycle".
This session is attended by eight other agencies consisting of the Unit Penyelarasan Pelaksanaan Jabatan Perdana Menteri (ICU JPM) Selangor, Jabatan Perancangan Bandar dan Desa (PLANMalaysia), Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Negeri Selangor (JKM) Selangor, Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP), Yayasan Basmi Kemiskinan (YBK), Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM), Adab Youth Garage (AYG), and Khazanah Research Institute (KRI).
The participant of the government agencies in this session is critical in ensuring that the initiatives are consistent with the government's aim to eradicate extreme poverty in Malaysia by developing an effective social network for the less fortunate.
With a range of executed approaches, ARBA Foundation along with other NGO teams contribute to the discussion by offering diverse solutions and new perspective on how to address urban poverty.
Open discussion allows every stakeholders to understand different viewpoints and challenges, leading to greater empathy and a more comprehensive approach to problem solving.
Eradicating poverty is a marathon, not a sprint. While it's a significant challenge, with continued focus, collaborations, and innovative solutions, we can create a world where everyone has the chance to thrive.
